Ski Length Guide

Only want to own one pair of skis? You should reconsider that. But if forced, reach for the Peak 98. It leaves trenches on hardpack and blows up powder.

If you ask us, the Peak 98 is the ski that 80 percent of skiers should be piloting 80 percent of the time. It’s that versatile. Looking at nothing but groomers today? You can cruise at family speeds or blast super-G turns. Off-trail in powder, crud, chalk, or corn, it’s nimble and floaty enough for all but the deepest of resort days. The 98 defines the all-mountain category.

Like the sounds of the Peak 98 but looking for something lighter weight and suited for inbound hikes? Pop on over to our Peak 98 by Dav skis. The slightly softer flex and weight savings make it a top pick for the backcountry crowd and women skiers too.

Warranty

While unlikely, it’s possible that you will receive a pair of skis with a minor flaw. It’s also possible, while out enjoying your skis, something goes wrong with them that is unrelated to the ski conditions or environment. Should a circumstance arise where you discover a flaw after putting your skis on snow, and you are the original owner, we will happily replace them for up to three years from the date of purchase. Enjoying your skis is paramount; if enjoying your skis results in damage to the skis from any number of hazards that exist in the mountain environment, we trust that you’ll understand if we have a tough time replacing them due to conditions or circumstances outside of Peak’s realm of influence.

Peak® 98 by Bode

Whats Under the Hood

The 98s were made to rip on packed snow at least 50 percent of the time, but you can still smear ‘em off trail, too—it's a shapeshifter. Here, a paulownia and ash core gets sandwiched by two sheets of metal. But to detune the ski just enough for bowls and big lines, we didn’t run the bottom alloy wall-to-wall. A vertical cut in the upper metal makes for buttery turn initiation.

Haven't used them yet

Ordered in May, delivered late Oct, ski hills here in Idaho don't open till after Thanksgiving. Why are you even asking for an opinion already? You send a lot of garbage emails.

Peak 98 Ultimate Hold

This is my free skiing daily driver in VT as well as one quiver on trips to Utah and CO. It rips in all conditions, from boilerplate ice to several feet of fresh, to spring corn and soft bumps. The best aspect out east is that it will hold with 100% confidence on ice like a SL race ski, the more pressure and angle you generate, it just holds the edge...unexpected for a 98 underfoot. I highly recommend. Bought first season available on the reviews and faith that Bode would do it right, it has surpassed my expectations. Can get a little squirrely on runouts, but maybe I should have bought up length to solve that. Wish I could demo somewhere...I'd buy another pair

98's

Based in Les ARCS , French Alps , on snow everyday ,i had the chance to ride the 98's for the second part of the last season . No matter what the conditions are, those puppies in 184 are great fun to ride ,all over the place .
They carve like there is no tomorow , have a solid grip under foot and are stable in all snow conditions. No complains .
Being 6.2 & 210 lbs i could have possibly picked the 190 .
Merci

Exactly what they said they would be: Excellent.

The marketing spin is not spin. They're the real deal. Fabulous across varied conditions. Very confidence inspiring. So happy.

Peak 98

Unfortunately I didn’t get my Peak 98’s until the ski season was over. I’m looking forward to getting on them next ski season. They look like a quality piece of equipment. They are in my living room where I can see them everyday which makes me excited about next season.
