To create our Peak Carbon pole, we teamed up with our partners at Komperdell, Austria and sourced extremely robust but lightweight carbon shafts, rubberized dual injected grips, cushy adjustable straps, and mid sized baskets for ample flotation in soft snow—without a ton of drag. So why go with carbon? Less swing weight is something you can feel. And because carbon flexes more readily than aluminum does, it makes for a durable shaft. The styling features the Peak bolt.
Ski Pole Length Guide
To determine the correct length for your ski poles, stand in your ski boots or wear shoes. Hold the poles upside down with the grips touching the floor. Grasp the pole just underneath the basket so that the top of your thumb touches the basket. Your elbow should form a 90° angle.
If the angle is less than 90°, consider a shorter pole. If the angle is greater, opt for a longer pole. Ski poles are typically sized in 2-inch increments. If you fall between sizes, choose the shorter pole.
