Only want to own one pair of skis? You should reconsider that. But if forced, reach for the Peak 98. It leaves trenches on hardpack and blows up powder.
If you ask us, the Peak 98 is the ski that 80 percent of skiers should be piloting 80 percent of the time. It’s that versatile. Looking at nothing but groomers today? You can cruise at family speeds or blast super-G turns. Off-trail in powder, crud, chalk, or corn, it’s nimble and floaty enough for all but the deepest of resort days. The 98 defines the all-mountain category.

What the Hell Bode
What the hell am I going to do now. I just bought some ranger 102s at the start of this season and loved them. But today I went out for my birthday to saddleback to test out these so called quiver killers. You should know that icey slice of northeastern heaven Bode being a carrabassett valley royal and honorary mainah. But what do I do now that I have pink poles to match my rangers and there just going to sit there and collect dust cus you had to go and make these stupidly good skis. I just couldn't push them hard enough, they just wanted more. I've raced and owned a lot of skis but this was like getting your first sports car and realizing what real performance is. Bravo guys

sweet ride
The skies are amazing. They turn with no effort and hold an edge like your on rails. They are also very stable at speed. I would defiantly recomend them.

Excellent
New England skier here, specifically Vermont. It's been a snowless season on the east coast and the ski resorts are showing signs of wear; plenty of ice, frozen granular mixed with man made snow and rain accompanied with warm temps. In other words, less than ideal conditions. Most eastern skiers learned how to ski on ice or skied-off hard pack. Tough as nails, we had to hone our technique and learn how to carve turns on concrete to survive. When there's ice, we just point our skis down hill, deal with it and scrape our way down the mtn. We don't have pow days. So, I was eager to put my 98s/168 to the test this weekend at Mount Snow, Vt. Since Bode is a New Hampshire native and learned to ski on the east coast I'm thinking he had the easterners a tad in mind when designing the ski. The skis did not disappoint. It grips, edges and bites the hard pack and ice with ease. Get them into open terrain and it's where they flourish. They are fast and beg to go faster, nimble and androitly handle east coast crud as well as ski smaller than the stated size. I'm wishing for snowfall so I can test them in powder but the east coast long range forecast isn't looking good. But, when it does I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Terrific
5'7" 155 lbs. peak 98 184. Jackson hole daily tram rider. Ski Kastle 96hp 181, 105hp 181, 115 184's. The Peak 98s absolutely rock. Somewhat easier turn initiation and release than the Kastle which I still love. On the feet of accomplished experts these skis are weapons. While particularly entertaining in high speed big turns, very little additional effort yields crisp shorter radius turns. Very forgiving if you get lazy and smear around....they don't kill you.The more energy you put in, the more they respond. Tremendous dampening and stability at warp speeds. I have not found terminal velocity. Excellent versatility in all snow conditions and I would use these in all but really deep days. Wonderful ride through broken snow in the Hobacks. Absolutely sick on groomers in high speed GS carves. Quite remarkable combination of easy turn engagement and still feeling of high horsepower. The Peak guys have a winner here and my compliments. Peak 98, 104, 110 skis are showing up around JH on top skiers and I have yet to hear anything but the highest praises. One more thing, they ski pretty close to length....maybe a touch short....I thought about the shorter ones and glad I went with the 184s but I am used to bigger skis. I am having an absolute ball with these things. Will be back for 104s when available. Close call but might beat the Kastle's which is saying a LOT.

Ski till your 98
Love the ski. Quick turning with lots of rebound . Lifts me off my feet when I turn them correctly. Fun in the trees and soft snow. Get thrown around a little in the crud . Only my 2cd date so till trying to get to 3rd base and learn what they like.
