Only want to own one pair of skis? You should reconsider that. But if forced, reach for the Peak 98. It leaves trenches on hardpack and blows up powder.
If you ask us, the Peak 98 is the ski that 80 percent of skiers should be piloting 80 percent of the time. It’s that versatile. Looking at nothing but groomers today? You can cruise at family speeds or blast super-G turns. Off-trail in powder, crud, chalk, or corn, it’s nimble and floaty enough for all but the deepest of resort days. The 98 defines the all-mountain category.

Smooth
Great ski. very playful yet able to hard charge it. great in bumps, floats well, and always a convo starter on the lifts. I was riding the storm rider 88,95,102 and kaestle mx 98's and Blizzard bonfides 97. This ski will replace them and planning on buying the 88 and 104 now. Wish the graphics were a little sexier, but that would be my only negative feedback.

The smoothest most solid feel and endless edge hold!!
I had a great season on my Peak 98's 184's, especially this past week at Keystone, CO. I had never skied anything this wide underfoot and had trepidation about how they would compare to my narrower waisted carving skis. I admit it took a bit to get used to the feel but wow once I did I dropped my other skis and now only ski these. They are so solid in crud, chop and part through or over anything. I had doubts about the turn initiation but the keyhole technology works as described, they flex and initiate the turn with ease, which is what I wanted and what I feared they would lack. Even without having the appearance of over-shaped skis (tight radius/ deep sidecut), they ski like they do but with so much more. I feel comfortable with these in any condition because of how solid they feel. It's hard to describe how they flex yet hold firm when necessary, they eliminate chatter and vibration. I am a deep carver and love to edge down steep groomers, which are sometimes hard to find. These hold edge forever and ever! I cannot over-ski these. I trust them at any speed to hold, in fact according to my ski app I clocked 61.8 mph the other day. I am a much more confident skier with these underfoot than anything I've ever skied. They are by far my favorite skis ever. I cannot overstate just how solid, comfortable, confidence inspiring and endless edge hold these skis have and are. I'm not sure how they did it, but they did and I highly recommend them!! Thank you Bode and the design team!! I could not be happier with my purchase!

The more you give them, the more they give back! They Perform
I had the chance to ski test several of the Peak skis at the Blister Event in Crested Butte in February 2023. (88 / 98 / 98 SC / 104 / 104 SC) . The conditions varied from firm to soft new snow. Over the past few years I have been lucky enough to have been able to test many skis from many companies and have found a great deal of performance variables. As an instructor of 35+ years I have seen a great deal of mismatched gear to level abilities show up for lessons. Being able to test skis has been a great educator and has given me a better insight as to what skis/gear can do for a persons skill and enjoyment levels on the hill. When I saw the Peak had come to the test I was curious to see whether or not it was just another name on a sports product to boost sales without giving "performance substance". Well…. Bode and team have put together a wonderful product line up that does a whole lot more than push some " bells and whistles" into a fluffy marketing campaign. Coming into the market in their first year, Peak skis excel above and beyond the others in the test. All of the skis are predictable and are capable of allowing your abilities to shine in a variety of conditions. The mild mannered cosmetics are deceiving as to what is under the hood that is something special. The "keyhole" concept works! The skis initiate well, hold under foot, and release nicely at the end of the turn, allowing for confidence that they will be their when you want and need them without surprises. In a nut shell the best way to describe the skis is, "the more you give them, the more they give back in a reliable and predictable way." Point blank, they perform! Peak team, keep up the great work! Note: the "SC" line up could be an nice alternative ski for someone who is lighter/smaller in stature, (ie, smaller male or female).

As a skier for 63 years, A ski shop owner & in the ski industry for 51 years. I purchased the 98 mm 178 cm. I have skied it now in all conditions. This ski is fast, it turns like a 168 cm & edge to edge like an 82 mm. I love this so much I will order the 104 mm. You will not be disappointed... Skiing it with the Roxa R3 130 ti ir and the Tyrolia PRW 11 bindings. BUY IT & SKI IT!
