Only want to own one pair of skis? You should reconsider that. But if forced, reach for the Peak 98. It leaves trenches on hardpack and blows up powder.

If you ask us, the Peak 98 is the ski that 80 percent of skiers should be piloting 80 percent of the time. It’s that versatile. Looking at nothing but groomers today? You can cruise at family speeds or blast super-G turns. Off-trail in powder, crud, chalk, or corn, it’s nimble and floaty enough for all but the deepest of resort days. The 98 defines the all-mountain category.

This is my second pair of Peak skis. I purchased them for the days when my 104SC is not ideal. On Mt. Hood we have pretty much all types of conditions so I was looking for a ski to do anything at any time. the Peak 98 does just that. The ski will respond to whatever kind of terrain I throw it at. I have learned that as a former racer and ski instructor these skis perform best when I am in a more forward stance. They are fine in a neutral stance but they really ski best in a more agressive hill attacking carve. I might even decide to run a GS or two a I have no doubt they have plenty of top end speed. All that being said, the ski does not demand that I ski them in any one style, they work great all the time.

I have the 88, 98, 104 and 110. The 98s are a great all mountain ski can carve up the groomers and float in the powder.

Tried my Peaks a few weeks ago at Bodes old terrain Cannon Mountain NH. Skied through all conditions from pow to crud to ice as advertised. The 98's kept going when I couldn't

Great Ski! Up graded from a Rossi 88 to the Peak 98. Had them out in Big Sky, Breckenridge and Vail this year and it's a true All Mountain ski. Handled well in 9 inches of powder and I could get them to turn quickly on groomed runs and in moguls. Happy with my purchase.

  • Firm to the snow.

I'm 5' 11" on 178cm and have always felt like skis with similar length and width give out. The peak skis hold strong to every turn and are fun to flex. My background is alpine ski racing and these skis (peak 98) carve the perfect, relaxed GS turn. In addition, the PEAK long sleeve t shirts are awesome—definately recommend getting one to go with your new gear :)
